Step 1: Export Data from Spooky

First, you need to generate a compatibility file from the Spooky app.

1. Open the Spooky app.
2. Open the side menu and navigate to Backups > Import / Export.
3. Select Export StoryPad JSON (.json) and tap Export.
4. Save the file to a known location on your device (e.g., your Downloads folder).

Note: This file contains your text, dates, and metadata in a format specifically optimized for StoryPad.

Step 2: Import Data into StoryPad

1. Download StoryPad if haven’t:
   
2. Open the StoryPad app.
3. Open the side menu and navigate to Backups > Import / Export.
4. Tap Import StoryPad JSON (.json).
5. Browse and select the backup file you just exported from Spooky.
6. In the top-right corner, tap Restore to begin the migration.
7. Stay on the screen until the process completes.

Once finished, your timeline will automatically refresh with your imported entries.
