Step 1: Export Data from Spooky
First, you need to generate a compatibility file from the Spooky app.
- Open the Spooky app.
- Open the side menu and navigate to Backups > Import / Export.
- Select Export StoryPad JSON (.json) and tap Export.
- Save the file to a known location on your device (e.g., your Downloads folder).
Note: This file contains your text, dates, and metadata in a format specifically optimized for StoryPad.
Step 2: Import Data into StoryPad
- Download StoryPad if haven’t:
- Open the StoryPad app.
- Open the side menu and navigate to Backups > Import / Export.
- Tap Import StoryPad JSON (.json).
- Browse and select the backup file you just exported from Spooky.
- In the top-right corner, tap Restore to begin the migration.
- Stay on the screen until the process completes.
Once finished, your timeline will automatically refresh with your imported entries.
